Am I fed up with DC already or fed up with 1-D people....

You hear it all the time, the Federal Government is full of overpaid underachieving workers. I wouldn't necessarily agree with that statement, but in many cases you do run into people who wouldn't have a career, if their weren't shielded by the protection of the being a civil servant. In my position now which is a Program Analyst, I perform administrative functions, some project management, some program management, and a lot of ad-hoc items. My career background is in claims processing, nothing more, nothing less. Grant it I can leave the Federal Government and find a less paying job somewhere else, however not all people I work with can.

Some of my co-workers always ask me why am I working on a Ph.D? Why do I teach part time at a college? Why do I teach online classes? The answer is easy.....because I am not one dimensional. I have always been outside the norm. Even as a child, I always had my hand in something else. So naturally as an adult, I want to branch out and see what I'm really good at. Who knows?? I may not want to work for the Federal Government for the rest of my life.

Today I almost knocked one of my co-workers the **** out because of a smart comment he made. I usually let the comments slide because for the most part they are losers without the jobs they have. If you take away their job, they have nothing. No accolades, no great achievements, or really good life accomplishments. When I look at my resume, I think that I have a accomplished a lot to be in my early 30's. However, I know there is still more to come, because I am destined to be great. No BS.

I have been through a lot in my life. Most things that I have experienced would rattle a normal person. However my co-workers have no idea. Things I've done, they think I'm lying when I tell them, but I am very serious. I have no reason to lie to a nobody. It's one jerk who likes to play both sides of the fence, and I've been watching him, he likes to run back and forth and hype things up, but he's no threat. However, he talks to other people and tries to empower them, so they start running out the side of their neck as well.

Little do they know, I will break their face. No if, ands, or butts about it. I know violence is not the answer, but sometimes you have to check someone when they are out of line to let them know, hey this world is real, this is not your fantasy land.

I didn't come to DC to make friends with anyone nor will I kiss anyone's ass to please them.

With that being said, stay tuned tuned for more updates on these 1-D people.
