Beyonce not such a big deal.

So Beyonce dropped a new album last Friday. Apparently her fans went wild because to them it was a surprise. Allegedly her record company didn't know she was releasing the album...I won't even get into deep discussion on the contradiction of that statement. But I will say this name one classic Beyonce album. *crickets* Thanks!

How come #1.........

How come when people lose weight other people who know them give them compliments like this:
1. You look GREAT!!!
2. You look AMAZING!!
3. I didn't even know that was you.
4. OMG!! WOW!! FABULOUS!!

And I'm sure there are hundreds of others.

Grant it, it's good when people lose weight. Most do it for health reasons, and not for cosmetic reasons. So I wonder do others who are giving these odd compliments think about what they are saying before they say it.

Most of the time, these comments are offensive as hell. Like if you tell someone they look GREAT with the emphasis on great. What did they look like before?

Being a manager makes you evil

I've been a manager for almost a year now....and I have some tidbits that I will begin to blog about.  I won't go into that many specifics but I will talk about general areas to help folks out.  I got plenty of stories.

Maybe I'm just weird...

I live in DC one of the fakest cities in the world.  I don't like it, but you have to do what you have to do to get where you want to be in life.  You know the small investment for the big return???

I often go out to Happy Hour with co-workers and I just observe people.  I listen to the conversations about nothing and wonder to myself about people.  I engage in conversations and sometimes I feel insulted by the lack of life experience from a lot of my co-workers.  Like most folks are late 20s to in their 30s, and most haven't experienced being a real adult.  You know like living on your own, owning a home or a car, cooking multiple times a week, you know the things that "normal" people do.

I was out last night and I had an interaction with someone as I was preparing to leave Happy Hour early because I needed to go to the store to pick up some things.  Now anytime you leave Happy Hour early people respond like you are killing babies.  Then you have to get hostile and explain that you are an adult and you do what you want to do, when you want to.  I don't get that at all.  I mean for over 15 years, I have been going and doing how I please and because you want to enjoy cheap drinks and lame conversation, I'm supposed to stay?

That's the difference between people who have lives and one-dimensional people.  I don't force anything...If I'm bored, I will get up and leave.  If someone is ditsy and they keep talking around me, I leave.  If someone I don't like is there, I leave.  You see the theme.  Maybe I'm just weird....nah...most folks just suck.

The Most Boring Date Ever...

You know I know why so many black women are single.  Attention to detail.  So I went out with this young lady with no personality what so ever.  She was all agressive to go out...I told her to meet me one place and let me go inside because I didn't want her to waste her time if it wasn't good inside.  She beats me to the place...and is there with a frown on her face because she was getting harassed by some guy.  I was like I told you to stay home until I gave you the OK.  Anyway we ended up leaving that place and she wanted to go the museum to see the damn Titantic exhibit.  WHY WOULD YOU CARE ABOUT THE TITANTIC?  IT SANK??? EVERYONE KNOWS THE STORY!! BIG PIECE OF ICE VS. BIG PIECE OF SHIP.  ICE WIN ICE WIN ICE WIN ICE WIN!!!

Nevertheless we are in the museum and it is indeed boring.  I'm walking around like a chicken with the head cut off and this broad is reading every damn sign in the museum.  I'm like....you know what happened to the boat.  Let's hurry this up and go somewhere else.  So I'm at the end of the exhibit....and she has the never to sit down and watch the movie.  Now....all throughout this 25 minute movie she didn't think to ask herself, where did I go?  So I'm out in the lobby cracking jokes with the rest of the men who are ready to go.  She finally pops back out and says "I hope you aren't bored".  I replied back "I hope you weren't stupid, but I see that's not the case."

We end up at the grocery store and the only reason I went was because I can find out so much about people at the grocery store by what they buy.  She bought some cherries, olives, 6 eggs, bananas, and some pasta.  Yeah....I know.....WTF?  Needless to say....we won't be going out again...and I'm not going over to eat.   Goodness Gracious.

C.C. (See see what you didn't tell me was)

So I'm in my office today talking to one of my employees and my BlackBerry kept ringing and I was wondering who it was who kept calling me.  Finally I call the number back and it's someone named C.C. Now C.C. says she knows a mutual friend in ATL and they informed her to hit me up when they got to DC.  I was like cool, I can meet you today for a few.  C.C. had a cute voice...so I said what the hell, let's meet up for  a few.  I called up the mutual friend to get the skinny (and I use that loosely) on C.C.  She informs me that her and C.C. were in a leadership class and I asked how does she look? What store does she shop at? Does she shop at Ashley Stewart or Macy's?  My friend was like she's bigger than me...but she's tall and brownskinned, but she's cool and has a good sense of humor.  I hit up C.C. when I got to her building and waited on her to come out.  She finally came out and at that exact moment I knew how Jack felt when he saw the full grown beanstalk...

So um.....yeah um....yeah um....she was indeed bigger than our mutual friend.  And her face wasn't right.  I have nothing against big women, but when that face ain't right, neither is my time.  So I'm sitting there trying to figure out why her voice doesn't match the rest of her body.  It's like she may work out to make herself sound skinny and not for exercise.  Long story short....that will be the last she hears of me.

Then she had the nerve to ask me how many kids I got...I told her I was sterile.  TFILL?

Hmmmm......She's not busy....She's probably dating 20 people

I was talking to my homeboy last night and he told me that he really liked this chick. He was going on and on about her about how great she was, how she came from a good family, and he thought she could be a potential. So I asked some more questions about her and he told me that sometimes its hard to get her time because of the kind of work she does. I inquired more about what she does and I thought to myself.......she doesn't work that hard, and can't be that busy. I guess the way she describes her work to him, it sounds like what she does is awfully difficult, but common sense should have told him she is hiding something.

Grant it...it is possible for a woman to work extremely hard, but I know something from my office....if a woman wants to go home she finds a way. Especially in high stress job, women will get a way from the office by any means necessary. With that being said I had to break something down to him that probably broke his heart, but oh well it had to be done.

You see when you meet a woman who is 28 or up and they are not married, they are at a hard place in their life. Their friends are either married or unmarried with kids and they are missing a void in their lives. It's not odd for a woman to date up to 10 guys at once. Grant it, if she is single she has all the rights to do that.....but if she ever gets into a relationship with a guy and has to cut off the other 9 guys she was dating....it will be a major problem. Simply because the woman basically has been fishing for all the wrong reasons.

With men......there is a motive behind going out with a lot of chicks. It revolves around 3 reasons......well....1 reason....if you don't know that reason, then refer to Men 101 and drink 2 cups of bleach and call me in the morning.

I advised my homeboy.....wait your turn or do something trifling to eliminate all the other guys. However, if he does eliminate the other guys....he will have to suffer the consequences if she falls for him.

Nevertheless......if a woman tells you she's busy, tell her stop lying, there is no such thing as busy if you really are interested in someone. Believe that. Don't stress over it....go sleep with her friends.

Holloway Out.

Am I fed up with DC already or fed up with 1-D people....

You hear it all the time, the Federal Government is full of overpaid underachieving workers. I wouldn't necessarily agree with that statement, but in many cases you do run into people who wouldn't have a career, if their weren't shielded by the protection of the being a civil servant. In my position now which is a Program Analyst, I perform administrative functions, some project management, some program management, and a lot of ad-hoc items. My career background is in claims processing, nothing more, nothing less. Grant it I can leave the Federal Government and find a less paying job somewhere else, however not all people I work with can.

Some of my co-workers always ask me why am I working on a Ph.D? Why do I teach part time at a college? Why do I teach online classes? The answer is easy.....because I am not one dimensional. I have always been outside the norm. Even as a child, I always had my hand in something else. So naturally as an adult, I want to branch out and see what I'm really good at. Who knows?? I may not want to work for the Federal Government for the rest of my life.

Today I almost knocked one of my co-workers the **** out because of a smart comment he made. I usually let the comments slide because for the most part they are losers without the jobs they have. If you take away their job, they have nothing. No accolades, no great achievements, or really good life accomplishments. When I look at my resume, I think that I have a accomplished a lot to be in my early 30's. However, I know there is still more to come, because I am destined to be great. No BS.

I have been through a lot in my life. Most things that I have experienced would rattle a normal person. However my co-workers have no idea. Things I've done, they think I'm lying when I tell them, but I am very serious. I have no reason to lie to a nobody. It's one jerk who likes to play both sides of the fence, and I've been watching him, he likes to run back and forth and hype things up, but he's no threat. However, he talks to other people and tries to empower them, so they start running out the side of their neck as well.

Little do they know, I will break their face. No if, ands, or butts about it. I know violence is not the answer, but sometimes you have to check someone when they are out of line to let them know, hey this world is real, this is not your fantasy land.

I didn't come to DC to make friends with anyone nor will I kiss anyone's ass to please them.

With that being said, stay tuned tuned for more updates on these 1-D people.

Soooooooo my student says

You look really annoyed.

wonder why?

BECAUSE I AM!!!

FINISH THE EFFIN EASY @$$ TEST I JUST GAVE YOU SO I CAN GO HOME!!!

now back to class.

Uh.....Ratchets in the DMV!!

I tell people every day who ask me how is DC? I tell them working is OK. It's the people here that make this city undesirable and not livable for an extended period of time (over 4-5 years). Grant it DC can be good for networking. There are alot of jobs here that mean absolutely nothing and people make careers out of these jobs for 30+ years. Interesting to the least bit.

I do have a ratchet update!! So this ratchet invites me over to her crib after a short time. Like literally hours. She says she has people over so it will be all good. After she pesters me for a few hours, I say OK, I will stop by on my way to another engagement.

So I stop by and its this ratchet and her cousins. She meets me in the hall way and says she is on the way to a party as well. So her outfit is a tight pink dress showing cleavage and legs. I was like damn, what a way to dress when a guy is coming over your house. (Already labeled as ratchet.)

A conversation is started and the collective group of ratchets are amazingly opinionated. I feed them some BS to get them antsy. One thing I noticed that when you get people antsy they tend to show their true selves. So I took notes and planned how I would approach this ratchet.

Well what do you know, the ratchet texted me later on with small talk. I tell her that I'm now at the airport renting a car, so I can go to a graduation. She asks why? I say because it is not is DC. She was like but you have a car. (If this was TV, this would be when the picture starts to swivel and go to a flashback..see below.)

FLASHBACK: Logical people would assume that if someone was renting a car to go to an out of state function, that would mean either the place is far and they don't want to put miles on their car. Common sense right? NOPE!!

So me being the smart aleck that I am, I post it on Facebook, the moment the question is asked. I get a couple of responses and everyone agrees with me. So I'm still trying to write this ratchet off.

Today this ratchet sees the update and comments wow. Then she sends me a BlackBerry message and then deletes me off her BBM contacts. LOL. So I go back to check Facebook and she is gone. LOL. So I send her a message and she says this...
Well the status you put up on your page regarding a logic test was down right disrespecful. (the whole rent a car situation). Im not a person who deals with drama or disrespect. I am FAR from being retarded and you basically put that up after our discussion. Thus LOGIC would infer that it was about me. Whether your a nice person or your speak your mind has yet to be seen. You have shown me your blatant disregard for people i.e. specifically me. I DO NOT take kindly to that.

I respond and say....
well...if that's the way you interpreted it. and it was far from disrespectful. nevertheless, sensitivity...oh well.

So when did ratchets become so sensitive?

Oh well.....hope this made you smile cause clearly TBC.

Everything is attainable if you make an honest hard working attempt

Today my cousin graduated from dental school and I attended the graduation. Everytime I go to someone's graduation it makes me want to achieve more. Makes me want to go do something spectacular. Maybe its my ambition or competitive spirit. Maybe I'm just effin crazy. But one thing I won't ever be is last in the line. Basically people if you work hard at something, then anything is possible. Just do it.

One Night Stand Contract....hilarious

I find you attractive and desirable. In an effort to get to know you better and explore
new opportunities, I propose we spend a romantic night together.

Any activities we engage in must be mutually agreed upon. I promise my intention
is to get to know you, with no harm intended, either physical or emotional.
Although some intimate powers of romantic persuasion are acceptable, I will never
attempt to force you to do anything you do not want to do. Our goal is to get to know
each other in as many ways as possible, (without dating) including but not limited to
adventurous, steaming hot, slippery "I can't take it anymore" marathon passionate sex.

This is a personal desire of mine. I want you. I agree to keep this experience between us.
It is strictly confidential. No one else needs to know. Friends, relatives, even strangers,
and especially our mothers will not find out, or ever need to know. We are not dating.

If in the event our adventure turns out to be a positive experience that you or I want to
repeat, I agree to limit the attempts to ask to see you again. Either one of us has the option
to ask the other again only once. If the second party says no, go away, I agree to never
bring up the subject again. In that event I further agree to uphold our one night contract and
keep the entire adventure completely confidential, and a one time thing.

It would be extremely rewarding for me to fulfill your every desire. I agree to put forth
every possible effort to please you. During our one night relationship, I promise I will
do my very best to fulfill your every desire, fantasy, want and need. Along with my own
passion and orgasmic sexual surprises, I will satisfy you in precisely the way you ask me to,
being as romantic as I can possibly be.

We agree to help each other clean up any messes including whipped cream & food stains.
I promise to keep my volume down, so we don't disturb the neighbors, or arouse suspicion.

We agree to leave quietly at our predetermined time without singing, skipping, or crying.
I agree not to leave any distinguishing marks on your body, including hickies.
Thank you very much for your consideration. I look forward to accepting your signature.

Rare Sense please.

OK.....I read newspaper articles everyday. Why because articles in newspapers are the least biased form of the media that reaches the public. I like local and national news stories, I also like off beat news and interest pieces. Anywho, what I'm saying is if more people read the newspaper than blogs (ironic), gossip pages, and watching TV, COMMON SENSE WOULD BE MORE COMMON. Face it, no matter how book smart a person is, they are always 75% idiot when not in their comfort zone. Most people don't know how to analyze a thought before they spew ignorance on an unsuspecting audience.

Case in point today, I post on Facebook that I'm about to go get a Double Down sandwich from KFC. You never heard of a Double Down? hmmmmmm.

After I post this people start saying : Don't have a heart attack. I mean honestly, what kinda of ish is that to say to someone? That like you going to see a newborn and telling the parents, I hope your kid isn't as dumb as you. Or like you're about to have sex with someone and say, my ex has HIV.

So in order to for me to keep my sanity I have to rationalize. Everyone isn't as intelligent at you, so don't expect much out of people. I hate this is the case. Anyway for the idiots who think a sandwich with no bread will kill you lets go down the history of unhealthy sandwiches.

Starting with the Monster Burger from Hardees.

Two 1/4 lb patties, few slices of cheese, 6 bacon strips and mayonnaise. No one died from it.

and how about the classic Tripple Whopper

3 patties, onions, lettuce, tomato, pickles, ketchup, mustard, cheese, and whatever else Burger King will add.

now to the most unhealthiest burger of all times. The Luther

that's right this is a bacon cheeseburger in between two Krispy Kreme doughnuts, and people eat this ish!!!

So the moral of the story is you can be the most health conscious person on earth, however if you don't read the facts before you say something stupid. You are recognized as an public idiot. Please obtain Rare Sense. It's not for sale, but you can find it one day.

Fact Check, Sorry had to bust your bubble in front of your Facebook friends, but apparently they don't know you BS them.

First of all, sorry I haven't wrote a blog in a while. Haven't been that busy, just been lazy. Even though I have millions of thoughts in my head at any given time. Just haven't took the time out to write to my peoples.

OK, so where do I begin. Living in DC now I have to endure all kinds of people, all kinds of diversity. In ATL, people adapt to the city and eventually they HAVE to fit in. In DC you don't have to fit in, you can do whatever you want to do and hope someone will accept you. Either way it goes, its just that many people so you can find a new group of associates every week if you like.

Being intertwined with these people I have to listen to some of the craziest conversations I have heard in my life. You know how it is when you hear FOX News, or listen to talk radio, or read comments from newspapers on the web. These people really live amongst us. It's actually kind of scary. A lot of these people work with me and you will never know it until they get into a conversation with you or you over hear a third party conversation when you are out with them.

Today, one of my co-workers who is always posting something on his Facebook page, I guess to appeal to his "other" friends. He made a statement about Cash4Gold and Hammer. I saw it responded, then he tried to get into a heated debate over it. This is not new, this happens at work all the time and he always loses. Why? Because he doesn't know the facts. When you make a statement which is easily verifiable, check the facts before you put it out to the world. It will make you look more intelligent trust me.

I informed this guy on what Hammer can make on this deal. He gets mad. So I break down the numbers Cash4Gold made $30 Mil in 2007 and $90 Mil in 2008, so why can't they pay Hammer over a million dollars in 3 years. Keep in mind he makes appearances and commercials.

So I'm thinking its over, then my BlackBerry goes off and it's this @$$ clown again apologizing to his "other" friends saying it's out of his character. In true Facebook coward fashion, he blocks me because I can't see the post anymore, which is even funnier.

Now what kind of dude gets emotional over a fact check? I won't even spare details on other events, but just know that I and others know the real deal. I guess since it's 2010 people can't keep it 100 at all times. Anyone who knows me personally probably can verify that I'm consistent. Nevertheless, I digress, and I feel better after I blogged. Some people will never learn.

How do you handle people who talk out the side of their neck, then run for the hills when times get tough?

BLIZZARD 2010 two of them and the aftermath

So the party is over 10 days off of work because of the snow. I don't know how I'm gonna adapt upon my arrival. Good feeling and bad feeling, just need to get back on track and not have a meltdown. After all going to work is good, staying at home doing nothing is bad. Oh well....will have a report once I'm off. Sure there will be alot on my mind. Blogging helps me keep my mind clear.

Coupons VS. You can afford full price

A comment on Facebook was said by a ratchet that "if you can afford it" why use a coupon? Also she would clown a dude for taking her out and using a coupon. *Blank stares* *Swinging baseball bat at her head*

I was reading this article called Rich People & Coupons - A Chicken and Egg Question

and here are some excerpts

I have recently read that higher income people (over 70K/yr) use coupons frequently and conversely, low income people hardly ever use them. Now I grant you that 70K can hardly be classified as "rich" in today's world but there is enough of a difference between the two income groups that it too defies logic. You would think low income people would eagerly embrace using coupons to gain any advantage they can, and that people with a comfortable income would not feel the need. But such is not the case.

In my opinion, I think probably it boils down to attitude, a mindset. I think having an attitude of being careful with money, taking advantage of every coupon they can find, starts in people and eventually these type of people become rich. It's an attitude of not throwing away money, of understanding that the time spent clipping coupons saves way more than it costs. These types of people would rather spend the money on other things that they enjoy. I contend that people who develop the habit of using money wisely are the ones who become rich. The poor stay poor because they continue to make bad choices. No one holds you down, in this country we are free to break out of our circumstances but it takes work, no one is going to hand it to you. The American difference is we have the freedom to move from lower to upper class. Everyone faces prejudices of one sort or another. Feeling sorry for yourself or using an excuse is a cop out. Why allow anyone else's attitude toward you to hold you back? Why give them that power over you?

This is pretty good advice. So what do you think? Do you think coupons are dumb or pointless? Grown people speak up.
